Traveling for me is difficult because any stress causes my IBS to really act up! I can't eat because everything will go right through me or it waits and keeps me up all night on the toilet.
I have peppermint tea when I get up and if I feel sick I take a little piece of antacid tablet I wash and get dressed then I take my dog for a walk before breakfast I started drinking yoghurt drink not every day and a waffle for breakfast it helps then peppermint sweet
For traveling
I try to stop somewhere I know has a toilet.
Like a food court or gas station.
I try to eat healthier what I eat the days before traveling.
I also take with my a bag with a change of clothes and accessories for emergency needs of us with IBS.
I try to keep my fluids up and not stress as much.
I know that hard to do.
But look after yourself more and other people less.
This is not really to do with travel but was awake last night with cramps had got some pills called senacalm from tesco medicine aisle took some and within 20 mins muscles were relaxing and cramps stopped this is not the first time they have worked they are peppermint and something that relaxes muscles they are not cheap but they seem to help with cramps I just thought I'd pass this on as most people don't seem to know about them
I always need to know where toilets are. I have a radar key for emergencies.
