I do get anxious and the ibs plays up beforehand,so I eat really blandly, and very little, beforehand. I assemble a really good kit of every medicine I could possibly need, and make sure I have water and suitable snacks for the journey. I take tea bags as it's my most comforting drink. Dress for comfort! I take some diarrhoea relief if at all unsettled (this may result in constipation but better than upsets in the journey) Usually I am fine then. I'm sensible what I eat and drink when I get there, but I can cope with a glass of wine and the odd cocktail. Holidays do me so much good wish I could get away more often.

Nothing works for me. The only thing I can do is not to eat.

If I have to travel I take anti-diarrhea pills , pack clothes, adult depends, wipes, and a bottle of water to keep hydrated.
