Newly diagnosed with crohn's and colitis, had IBS for 5 years now. Learning how to manage and just started treatment today. Any pointers/ advice would be great! Thank you!
Your body will let you know what you can and cannot do, such as what you can eat, drink etc.
Try to keep a journal of what foods trigger flares and what foods do
The only other advice I can give you is do not let your Dr bullshit you. If something isn't right, speak up! Something is not working, speak up!
Good luck!!!
And remember, we're here for each other!!

I have Ulcerative colitus and the best thing that works for me is complete detox then diet change. To prevent Flares I have eliminated sugar, dairy, wheat, flour, caffiene and anything spicy. I also swear by L.Glutamine mixed with plain rice or plain oatmeal if you are in pain. L.Glutamine helps soothe intestines and heal your joints, muscles and gut. Another beneficial treatment I do is acupuncture twice a month for relaxing your gut and also anxiety plus detoxing. Also a heatpad is my savior and wild yam topical cream for your tummy helps calm it and numb it. Good luck to you x
That’s how I coped with mine kept a journal I fine now most of the time anita xx
Guinness....oh yea!
Can only have 1 or 2. Too heavy.
Amstel Light for me....
Thankfully I can still enjoy them without too many issues.......for now....
@A myIBSteam Member Meh, I'm slowly learning to accept it but it is hard no matter what. And I do agree with the beer thing lol... I enjoy a pint of Guinness every now and then. It sucks when your favorites end up on your no no list =( I've had that happen all ready. Enjoy as much as you can.
