Has anyone on the loop used Buscopan for IBS issues?

I wouldn't say I have a flare up everyday or extreme pain, but I definitely do have abdominal discomfort at least 6/7 days of the week. I'm new to this diagnosis and am just trying to figure out what is common/normal for this.
Any information/testimonies would be great

I used to take this pill but was told not to by my doctor. It causes the nerves in the intestines to flair up. I know it helps you go but I have ibsd and sometimes get constipated badly and when I'm constipated i hurt so bad that I don't need more pain with this drug that just causes more pain

It's come about over the last few months where my fingers are swollen and the joints sore mainly on my right hand. Also it seems to be affecting my shoulder and neck. For many years I've had lower back issues and sciatica.

I had started to take Linzess ... diarrhea for approx 2 weeks took Imodium (1 dosage) while still taking Linzess ... no diarrhea. Since then I’m constipated - I did a couple days Miralax. (Still on Linzess). Still not have regular bowel movements/constipation. Is this common with Linzess plus IBS?????

any tips and tricks for gas ? I suffer so badly with trapped wind and it causes terrific chest pains and like a stich but can't seem to find anything to releave it so wondered if you lovely people could help thank you xx

I have been reading that prebiotics help probiotics in controlling ibs symptoms. Some of these supplements can be costly and I am hoping to get information from other members if they use both prebiotics & probiotics. Are prebiotics really effective ? Do you find probiotics effective? Any side effects from them ? What supplements work best for you if you take these ? So many to chose from !

Dx IBS-D but have had weeks that I am constipated and then diarrhea for days. I can have weeks of normal GI going-ons as well. So wondering if this dx is correct or if something else could be going on. I was treated for diverticulitis (suspected) in February. Things were GREAT while I was on those meds.

I don't know if I'm eating something that I shouldn't I followed the fodmaps and his best I can no wheat rye or barley very very little sugar once in a while Splenda even though they say no artificial sugar very little bread once or twice a week and that's gluten free and then I get this gas of an evening and I'm like three or four times into the bathroom to pass the gas cuz I'm not sure what's going to happen when I do a small amount of bowel movement just a little bit not diarrhea sometimes I… read more

Hi, I am new here. I have had what I believe is IBS-D for many years. About 15 years ago I saw a GI doc, had a colonscopy, and was told to just take a fiber supplement. The fiber supplement made me much worse. Last year I was tested for Celiac and the test was negative. I have also tried a gluten free diet without success. Also had a test for my pancreas and that is normal as well
