Hi, I am new here. I have had what I believe is IBS-D for many years. About 15 years ago I saw a GI doc, had a colonscopy, and was told to just take a fiber supplement. The fiber supplement made me much worse. Last year I was tested for Celiac and the test was negative. I have also tried a gluten free diet without success. Also had a test for my pancreas and that is normal as well
I am seeing a different GI doctor now and am scheduled for Colonscopy soon. He thinks my issue is likely IBS… read more
I am trying a supplement by the name of Best Days Formula by Law of Nature. It seems to be making everything worse. Has anyone had success with anything?
Thank you Gloria. I will check into that.☺️
Since I was prescribed Viberzi about a year ago, my life has been so much better. It works for me almost 100% of the time. I love it. I can go to the mall, to a restaurant and have almost no problems. It’s the best med that has worked for me. At first it wasn’t covered by my insurance but I was given a discount so it was doable. Now, the price has gone up to $525.00 a month. I can’t afford that. I am on SS and Medicare. My wonderful doctor has been supplying me with free samples… read more
I just wanted to add that Viberzi worked for the first few days and I thought we had the answer for my IBS-D. I ended in the hospital for 8 days with pancreatitis. It was awful.
So I have decided I am sick of the stomach pain, nausea, throwing up, and the other end issues. With no help from the dr’s. I finally am going to start giving up gluten and see if that helps eat a little better, and cleaner. More veggies that kind of stuff. Is there anything that others have tried that has helped, vitamins giving up certain things? Any help or incite would be very appreciated.. thank you

Everytime I eat sugar in any form my stomach swells and I suffer crippling pain, nothing eases it. I try to avoid sugar as much as possible but because I'm so hormonal I tend to crave it occasionally. :(
Have you been tested for SIBO?
Just wondering if anyone gets disability money for IBS. Why is it not classed as a disability? It stops me from doing things and i am worried when i do get a job it is going to get in the way especially when i have to phone in sick most days because i can't leave the toilet
