Is It Possible To Have IBS And Coeliac Disease?
A myIBSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hey I've had IBS for as long as I can remember, but the doctors are now testing me for coeliac disease. Is possible to have both conditions?

Got diagnosed in June. Got a blood test done first. It came back positive. Then had to get a biopsy.was positive as well. Was told I also have IBS.😌

It is very possible. Have you met with a nutritionist yet? Some people do not have celiac's disease but still have problems with gluten and dairy products. I drastically cut back on my dairy and gluten and have found considerable relief. I have also cut out onions from my diet and any spicy foods (including taco seasoning) as those are big ones for me. I also watch how much I go out to eat and really limit that during the work week especially. Too much greasy food is a big trigger for me.

Coeliac disease is an intolerance to Wheat Barley Rye . These are in bread pasta and lots of other things. I have Coeliac disease and have to avoid them.😉
