How did you go off gluten? What foods did you have to give up? It seems to be in almost everything!

Yes, I even get shortness of breath sometimes after I eat. When I have my flare ups my pain is also in the center upper stomach under my breast area in the center.

Not sure if I already mentioned this but I also take Dicyclomine for this pain and for other stomach pain. It has helped me quite a bit. I only take this med when needed. Some people are on it 24/7. When this pain gets really bad, I go back on my Prilosec daily until it calms down. I take Famatodine or Pepcid also for quicker relief-20 mg. Hope this helps someone.

Fodmap does help if you don't have a Gluten issue. Diana, I had to do alot of research on what has Gluten...basically what Doesn't have Gluten. You also have to read the ingredients in everything you buy...if it doesn't say Gluten Free then it probably has Gluten in it or it was made in a factory where other foods contain Gluten which would be cross-contamination. It's a royal pain, but it can be done. Thankfully Walmart and many stores carry Gluten Free items but they are pricey. The only way to tell if you have a Gluten issue is to go off Gluten at least 2 weeks or more. If you start to feel better then most likely you have a Gluten issue. Then you reintroduce Gluten back in your diet and if you start having issues again, you definitely know it's Gluten. This is also how I found out I am Lactose intolerant. Hope this helps.
