I don't know if I'm eating something that I shouldn't I followed the fodmaps and his best I can no wheat rye or barley very very little sugar once in a while Splenda even though they say no artificial sugar very little bread once or twice a week and that's gluten free and then I get this gas of an evening and I'm like three or four times into the bathroom to pass the gas cuz I'm not sure what's going to happen when I do a small amount of bowel movement just a little bit not diarrhea sometimes Iโ€ฆ read more

Thankyou, the gastro enterologist did blood work and found a list of things food-wise that I guess I'm allergic to the irritate the stomach right no raw vegetables no fresh fruit no dairy no egg whites and celiac disease of course to add to it and yes anxiety and nerves some days it gets to me but I pretty much gotten used to it and work around it today wasn't a good day been pretty good lately so I had rice for supper applesauce I can have a banana and there's a couple other fruits that I can have small amounts small meals often I also have a lot of scar tissue from surgeries so it limits a lot I don't drink any soda it's decaffeinated tea and coffee water I do try apple juice but half water half apple juice and that doesn't seem to bother me nerves will do a major number on me and then it brings on depression but basically it's been a lot better than it ever was but I will remember the peppermint over the counter med thank you so much๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

Hi, Marian! For the gas and bloating, try IB Guard peppermint pills. They are OTC. They were recommended to me by my gastroenterologist. They also help with cramps. Also, it might be a good idea to stay away from dairy, (look for hidden dairy in cakes, etc.--always read ingredients), stay away from spicy foods, vegetables, fruits and artificial sweeteners. No caffeine and no carbonated drinks because these give you gas.

I use an organic Coconut Sugar for my coffee. I get it from Aldi.

I also am lactose intolerant and used generic Lactaid pills from Costco. I have been on Dicyclomine (Bentyl) for over 20 years and it helps. My anxiety can trigger my IBS. I take meds for that too. Hope you feel better.
