. Most Days If I Dont Take Immodium At Night For The First Hour I Can Go To The Toilet Up To 7 Times Does Anyone Have This Problem.

First thing in the morning if I don't take immodium at night I can go to the loo up to 7 times in the first hour. My doctor reckons this part of the IBS but when your staying at someone's house with only one bathroom it gets a bit embarrassing also we travel a lot and that is the same when your back and for the washroom. Has anyone else experienced this and can they tell me how to cope.

Members deeply connected over the isolating experience of urgent, unpredictable morning bathroom trips, with many sharing that they can visit the toilet up to 7 or even 10 times in the first few hours of the day, making work, travel, and staying at others' homes extremely difficult. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped, including medications like Bentyl, Viberzi, Lotronex, and Imodium, dietary changes such as eliminating gluten and wheat or trying the FODMAP approach, probiotics and supplements like GIT ImmunoBiotic, and products like VIPoo or Just a Drop to manage embarrassment in shared or public bathrooms. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of feeling misunderstood by employers, friends, and even family, the constant need to plan outings around bathroom access, and the profound relief of finding a community that truly understands the daily challenges and isolation of living with IBS.

I go straight for the hardcore meds, I’m on viberzi 75mg! And it’s doing wonders to my gut because I’m not having episodes as often as before. If Percocet is available I take it too and I’ll be nice and plugged!

Same for me. I live close to work. I have to get up about 5 to get there at 8 because my colon has me in bathroom for at least 1 and half hours (sometimes more) every morning. Then is first stop before I go to classroom, and I spend every break and lunch in restroom too. Xoxo

I use "just a drop". Ordered on line. Little blue bottle, fits in pocket or purse.

I've found that VIPoo, you aren't embarrassed if someone goes to the toilet after you.

I have this problem too, I take Imodium everyday, but I will still go to the bathroom 4 or 5 times within a few hours, I now have to plan my days, if I arrange to go out, I make sure I haven't eaten after 2pm the previous day, as I won't use a public toilet, and I dose myself up with meds to keep my stomach calm, but it doesn't always work to plan
