Lomotil Can't Get It In UK
A myIBSteam Member asked a question 💭

Lomtil or Co Phenodrone is the only thing that really helps bad IBS Day days, but it is no longer available in the UK. Loperamide is not enough on bad days and although Codeine helps I don't want to use it during the day or become dependent on it . Any suggestions?

I'd used lomotil on and off for many years. It does make me feel sick sometimes but that's not the norm. It's a wonder for me

I have taken my lomotil on extremely bad days when Vibetzi alone isn’t slowing my BM’s down its an old arc I wasn’t aware it’s been recalled here in the U.S. when did this take affect? And how long is the lomotl good for?

They have recalled lomtil in the USA to I don't know why it helped me,but now I have a colostomy and I don't have any problems what so ever. I can't believe how my body changed with a colostomy. I don't miss the nights and days of agony with pain and vomiting.

Thanks. I'm OK with milk, butter etc so don't think lactose is a problem

@ Lomotil...can you get a dairy aid..it helps with the lactose in cheese and milk products! Most drugstores carry it!
