Members overwhelmingly confirmed that body aches, fatigue, and exhaustion are common experiences during IBS flare-ups, with many describing feeling drained after multiple bathroom trips and needing extra rest to recover. Several members shared that their doctors explained a strong connection between IBS and fibromyalgia, noting that the two conditions often occur together and can make it difficult to distinguish which is causing pain at any given time. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of unpredictable symptoms that make planning difficult, the frustration of feeling misunderstood by others, and the comfort of knowing they are not alone in dealing with these challenging experiences.

you're not alone in that. I have IBS and fibromyalgia so its like which one is making me hurt this time. A LOT of people with IBS find out that they have fibromyalgia too. There's a huge link between IBS and pain issues.

I am 64 years old was diagnosed with Crohn's when I was 16. Many surgeries, tried I think every combination of drugs. I have been in remission with the crohn's for 5 years now. But so much damage that experiance the same sympton's, so now they are saying it is IBS. I feel like I never feel better. If I say I am having a bad gut day, everyone asks if I am having a crohn's flare, I feel like all I do is complain!

Yes I get body aches and fatigue. I also get really bad cramps that are very painful and it doesn't matter what I eat. If I have plans I just don't eat anything.
