I'm looking recommendations on a good probiotic to take for IBS.
Schiff Intensive Bowel Support thru Amazon.
I have IBS all the time one day it D and then C.
I take probiotics everyday but my probiotic also has an acidophilus in it. But my question is if the FDA has not approved this product how can these companies sell it on the market
I have been reading that prebiotics help probiotics in controlling ibs symptoms. Some of these supplements can be costly and I am hoping to get information from other members if they use both prebiotics & probiotics. Are prebiotics really effective ? Do you find probiotics effective? Any side effects from them ? What supplements work best for you if you take these ? So many to chose from !
I use Biomel and it really makes me feel better in the morning,most of the time. You can buy it on amazon but it takes a few weeks to arrive.
Have been to numerous health professionals and no one has help. Suggestions?

Hello. I have ibs-d and aside from bentyl I don't really take anything aside from occasional Imodium. My doctor recommended probiotics and I was wondering if anyone had had any relief with them. If so, what kind? Thanks!

My GI doctor wants me to take probiotics. For the past 6 or 7 months every time I eat Activia, or take a probiotic I GET a vaginal yeast infection. After I stop the probiotics it resolves. Anyone else have this issue? I can't find anything on Dr. Google. GI doctor said this is not possible.
I cannot eat anything with yeast in it! Bread etc.I also tried Keffir and that seemed to start up a yeast infiction. Sugarden definitely does not help. Hope the new treatment helps.
