Can Anybody Suggest A Treatment For Occasional Extreme Bloating?

From time to time my IBS flares up and when it's at it's worst I suffer extreme bloating. Usually it occurs following eating food (even small snacks). Wind appears to get trapped, made worse by the other effects of suffering IBS ( esp constipation)
At its worst its so bad that if I were a woman I would swear I was pregnant
I've tried using simethicone but it has little or no effect. I try to eat slowly so as not to take in too much air, but sometimes I'm just plain afraid to eat.

I can relate.......if I have to take a pain med I get all backed up. Miramax helps me. Since I seem to have motility and diarrhea issues it gets complicated for me!

1 tsp of L glutamin powder with a beverage before you eat breakfast helps me and sometimes ginger
