I have been taking Dicyclomine for 10 years. In the beginning it may have caused some drowsiness, but it doesn't now. I have IBS-C also, I don't know if it has increased my constipation. I was constipated for so long. I have finally found that soluble fiber and prune juice allows me to have daily BM's. I take Dicyclomine 20 mg, 4 times a day as needed for abdominal pain. It hasn't really taken care of my fairly constant lower abdominal pain. I see my GI tomorrow, and am going to ask if there's something else I can try. I wonder if it is because I have taken it for so long, it may not be as effective as it was in the beginning. It does help with cramping and spasms. I hope this is of some help to you. Take care. Hope and prayers

I found that if I take too much of any of the meds for IBS-D I can get constipated. It's a very fine line you have to walk.
