Can toxic thoughts and emotions cause digestive disorders like Irritable Bowel syndrome

I suffer from IBS and unfortunately so does my 26 year old daughter and my 5 year old grandson.We find that food is the biggest trigger.. I was wondering if anyone has had an impacted bowel caused by the foods you have ate? I have had it twice, both times had to be in hospital for hours filled with laxitives, and finally had to have an impaction done which was the worst thing in the world I have gone through and I have gone through a lot. Has anyone done bowel retraining for loss of bowel control or constipation? If so, what are some tricks you recommend?

Doesn’t anyone else with IBS deal with mucus coming from the rectum? I don’t know what to do. Seems my doctor doesn’t either. Help!

It's come about over the last few months where my fingers are swollen and the joints sore mainly on my right hand. Also it seems to be affecting my shoulder and neck. For many years I've had lower back issues and sciatica.

any one been.told they have had results of inflammation? been.told its ibs n.chronic constipation but recently spoke to a doctor that said you don't have inflammation with ibs so im a little confused inflammation is usually ibd :S awaiting for another gastro app for upper track but been.told can discuss lower with them again hope.this consultant better than last x

I was just wondering does anyone experience body aches and fatigue with IBS? Last night after I went to sleep I started having body aches and was like NO!! I can.t get sick... I did have a flare up yesterday and it when on all day and apparently through the night with the aches and then this morning too. I've been on a light diet since yesterday. Just curious if body aches is normal. I feel so sleepy and run down

Just had the most painful poop ever... as I was sitting on the pot, I got some wicked spams in my legs and thighs. It stopped after I stood up and screamed in pain... what the hell was that?! My bowel movements were liquid... anyone else get those?? what the hell is that?
