As you know Leslie Davis, most doctors recommend Align. I had a GI doc recommend it to me 11 or 12 years ago, I tried it and couldn't use it, it didn't agree with me or my finances. There are numerous other probiotics out there. I checked out a couple others that didn't agree with me either, so I gave up on them up until about a year ago. I also have IBS-C along with horrible intestinal spasms. I knew I had to do something, so I tried the Align again and now it works for me. I don't know what changed, but something did. Now, I don't have near as many of the intestinal spasms like I use to, they used to be worse than Charlie horses in your legs. The only suggestion that I can make Leslie, is for your daughter to try a couple of the other probiotics that are out there, what may work for me may not necessarily work for your daughter. I was diagnosed in the fall of 1982 with IBS-C and I know I had for years prior to that, that's why I went to get checked out. It takes two or three weeks to get use to using probiotics. IBS is a pain in everyone's rear. Have a great day.
I told my GI I couldn’t afford them. So I get samples and they never run out
I use Florastor Probiotic and also drink Kefir to rebuild the "good bacteria" as well. Slow but very steady improvements daily. It has been 1.5 months so be patient with your progress. These have worked for me
I take Bentyl, it helps with spasms but still have diarrhea.
