Bentyl and Imodium are two different drugs. Bentyl is an antispasmodic and Imodium is an antidiarrheal.

Linzess not linseed!

I have tried them all. Bentyl, Librax,donnetol and linseed. They all did not help me. But they might help you. This week I had been in pain from my IBS. The pain was on going. Then I decided to take an antibiotic that I had for a bladder infection..It is called Bactrim. By the next 24 hrs, I was feeling much better. Doctors do not like prescribing a lot of antibiotics. I thank God that I had some on hand. I know in my heart that bacteria was to blame for my pain and lots of gas. Not to mention that my bowel was having major spasms. I am going to talk to my doctor about this. By the way I have IBS-C.
