Colonoscopy
A myIBSteam Member asked a question 💭

Did anyone have a colonoscopy? Did the prep cause problems with your IBS? I am doing a colonoscopy in May and worried about the prep the night before.

Also A and D ointment before you start. You will get sore. The colonoscopy seemed to help with the IBS. For a week or so.

The prep will clean you out so the doctor can clearly see your colon. Its not a pleasant prep but necessary. Having cleansing wipes can help if your rectum gets irritated.

Drank all the junk they gave me and I had one pill he gave me. Went all night and I was lucky to get to the restroom in time, then he did the colonoscopy and said I wasn’t cleaned out enough he couldn’t tell what was going on. Last colonoscopy I will ever take
