My Dad takes Linzess. It's a prescription med. It really works! I have IBS-D. Hard to find anything that works for IBS but to find out and avoid what triggers it... what foods and drink... then avoid it. My doc gave me Dicyclomine for the cramping and bloating. That really does help.

How do you get over and treat IBS -C. I don't normally suffer with constipation with IBS but on this occasion I have it. I am trying to take enough fiber to help but on the the other hand it is aggravating the IBS with more pain. ( A vicious cycle) A friend of mine suggested I take the probiotic natural yogurt that contains kefir which I admit is helping slightly with reducing the pain. I am looking for anything which can reduce the pain as well as treat the constipation and would really welcome any suggestions at this stage. I try and do excersise to also help but when you are in so much pain, it isn't always easy..- With many thanks.
