With Ibs Do You Have Pain On The Left Side And It Goes Over To And Above The Pelvic Area.
A myIBSteam Member asked a question 💭

I have pain mostly on the left side along with constapation. It will sometimes travel over to the right side but not often. Is that common.

A myIBSteam Member

That's how I found out I had IBS. Pain in the left side, so bad that I couldn't walk. Along with a 7 day constipation. After a colonoscopy, I was told I had IBS.

Does Anybody With IBS Just Have Only Gurgling Sounds And No Diarrea Or Constipation?
A myIBSteam Member asked a question 💭

My digestion is working just fine--no issues. I have this crazy gurgling/rumbling sounds from my intestines. They are very loud and occur mostly at night when lying on my back. Lying on my side helps. Is this IBS even though I have no BM issues such as diarrhea or constipation? Any remedies for these sounds? Thank you.

A myIBSteam Member

Have same! Gurgling seems to add pressure on bowels that wakes me. No diarrhea or constipation

Stomach Noises How Loud Are Yours
A myIBSteam Member asked a question 💭

Just wondering about people's loud girgling noises your guts make. Once I was outside with my friend and she jumped up as she thought the drive gate was opening.... I laughed and said what's up, she said she thought her mother had arrived. I said no it's my guts just moving lol

Has Anyone Found A Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) Has Helped IBS-D Symptoms?
A myIBSteam Member asked a question 💭

Suspecting a possible ulcer, the doctor prescribed a PPI for 6 weeks. While taking it my IBS symptoms subsided. After I went off this drug, they returned. To test it, I started taking it again and once again relief of symptoms.

Has anyone had a GI doctor recommend this for IBS?

A myIBSteam Member

Thanks. I'll check this out also.

A myIBSteam Member asked a question 💭

I usually get a flu shot but now that I was diagnosed with ibs I am concerned if it is safe and if it will cause the ibs symptoms to worsen & flare up.
The flu shots are now available at the doctors office and clinics

A myIBSteam Member

I just got my flu shot 4 days ago. I've never had so many reactions from a flu shot. Last year I had no problems, but my IBS and anxiety were not "activated" last year. This year, I almost fainted… read more

I suffer from IBS and unfortunately so does my 26 year old daughter and my 5 year old grandson. We find that food is the biggest trigger.. I was wondering if anyone has had an impacted bowel caused by the foods you have ate? I have had it twice, both times had to be in hospital for hours filled with laxitives, and finally had to have an impaction done which was the worst thing in the world I have gone through and I have gone through a lot. Gluten Intolerance
A myIBSteam Member asked a question 💭

Ive been told to eat bread and pasta every day for 6 weeks - only ten days to go? Has anyone else been through this for gluten intolerance? Symptoms are upset stomach, bloating, horrendous wind, tiredness amongst other symptoms.

A myIBSteam Member

I have gone to the gluten test and also no dairy for me. Try to eat with constant new triggers make me very frustrated.
