No but I have pain in my lower back during flare ups
I was told by a GI specialist that immodoim and Pepto can actually paralyze your gut if you take too much so I was told to not take that stuff anymore.
I have pain mostly on the left side along with constapation. It will sometimes travel over to the right side but not often. Is that common.
That's how I found out I had IBS. Pain in the left side, so bad that I couldn't walk. Along with a 7 day constipation. After a colonoscopy, I was told I had IBS.
I haven’t been diagnosed but the symptoms I’m experiencing relate to IBS. Every now and the. I get cramps in my lower right abdominal area. Sometimes they can hurt but they are painful. Sometimes I want to curl up in a ball and sometimes I can go about daily stuff. My diet is vegan & I drink lots of water. I’ve always had issues with my guts since I was little. I especially being constipated. I’ve found that taking a probiotic helps my intestines with less ‘attacks’. I was just curious if anyone… read more
I do. I get very painful stomach aches to the point I feel like vomiting too.
I wouldn't say I have a flare up everyday or extreme pain, but I definitely do have abdominal discomfort at least 6/7 days of the week. I'm new to this diagnosis and am just trying to figure out what is common/normal for this.
Any information/testimonies would be great
I have pain pretty well everyday but when it is really bad I have to stay in bed.
I was diagnosed with peri-menopause and the last couple months have been brutal. I've missed work because of my migraines and nothing slows the IBS down at all. I get very down sometimes with this because it is an unseen disease. And if you don't have it others don't understand what you go through. I can be fine for a week and then bam. Episodes are horrible.
My family Dr put me on sumatriptin 100mg only2 a day if needed, must of the time 1 would work. Hugs
In other places I keep reading that IBS does not cause night time symptoms. On here, I see evidence all over of people having issues with IBS at night. I get occasional (once a month or so) incidences of waking up in the middle of the night having to go with pain. Does anyone have any clarity on the discrepency and if it is not caused by IBS what it could be? Thanks to all!
Yes, sometimes it wakes me up in the middle of the night and i'm half asleep running to the toilet with sever abdominal pain.
It's come about over the last few months where my fingers are swollen and the joints sore mainly on my right hand. Also it seems to be affecting my shoulder and neck. For many years I've had lower back issues and sciatica.
You are not alone. Have had the same rhings
I suffer from IBS and unfortunately so does my 26 year old daughter and my 5 year old grandson. We find that food is the biggest trigger.. I was wondering if anyone has had an impacted bowel caused by the foods you have ate? I have had it twice, both times had to be in hospital for hours filled with laxitives, and finally had to have an impaction done which was the worst thing in the world I have gone through and I have gone through a lot. I take Clear lax every day in my tea and when I need it… read more
Chinese food and dairy make me have diarrhea.
Since April 2019 I have had a weird pressure like pain under my left rib cage. Through various tests the only thing my GI doctor can tell is I have IBS. He put me on dicyclomine for about a month now. It has relieved some of my symptoms such as lower abdominal cramps and the feeling of having to use the restroom but didn't have to. But I feel like this medicine has given me new symptoms such a abdominal pains but higher now. Also, I can just hear my food digesting it's so loud. Has anyone else… read more
