My old GP diagnosed me 10 years ago with IBS but i never knew i should have seen a specialist until now. I'm just wondering how many more out there haven't seen a specialist
I just heard on a documentary that I'm watching again (HEAL) that acidity in the body (through the foods we eat, etc.) contributes to pain/inflammation in the body, which includes IBS. I was wondering if anyone has tried an alkaline diet or simply reducing acidic foods & if so, what was your experience? Thanks!
I haven’t been diagnosed but the symptoms I’m experiencing relate to IBS. Every now and the. I get cramps in my lower right abdominal area. Sometimes they can hurt but they are painful. Sometimes I want to curl up in a ball and sometimes I can go about daily stuff. My diet is vegan & I drink lots of water. I’ve always had issues with my guts since I was little. I especially being constipated. I’ve found that taking a probiotic helps my intestines with less ‘attacks’. I was just curious… read more
In my reading, I came across something referred to as wild lettuce & how it can help with pain & it doesn't interfere with the digestive system. Anyone tried this? Thanks!
It's kind of hard to explain, but throughout the day I'll get these little "bursts" on the right side of my abdomen that sound like little farts, for lack of better words, coming from inside my abdomen. It's not like a regular rumbly tummy, but like little gurgly pop sounds and feels like shifting going on. My GI is kind of tired of me and says I'm just stressed from all my jobs.
