Members shared their experiences with essential oils and natural remedies for IBS symptoms, with peppermint emerging as the most widely recommended option in forms including tea, Mintec tablets, and a few drops of peppermint oil in water or applied topically to the stomach. Several members found relief through chamomile and ginger tea for bloating, oregano oil to reduce bad bacteria, and kefir as a probiotic alternative for those who experience gas and bloating from standard probiotics. A recurring theme was that natural remedies work differently for everyone, and combining options like regular exercise, doubled probiotic doses, and topical essential oil blends can offer meaningful symptom management.
