Members shared positive experiences using peppermint oil capsules for IBS symptoms, with many reporting relief from cramping, spasms, and belly pain, though effects on bowel movements varied from person to person. Several members recommended specific products like Heather's Tummy Tamers and IBGard available on Amazon, with dosing advice ranging from one to two capsules daily and cautions that taking too many could cause constipation or worsen acid reflux. A recurring theme was finding the right individual dose through trial and error, with alternatives like peppermint tea offering similar cramp relief for those who prefer it.

I have acid reflux and am concerned the peppermint capsules could make it worse. I have read that they work for some folks here. Are they used to treat diarrhea or constipation ?

I started taking peppermint oil capsules last week. I think they have helped the cold I have had not breaking out into a bad one. I did have a bad tummy last Thursday morning and i took one and felt better after about half an hour. I have had some diarrhoea but i think the peppermint oil capsules may be helping it improve a little.
