Members shared mixed experiences with IBGuard for bloating and gas when also managing GERD, with some finding it helpful without triggering reflux (especially when taken an hour before eating) while others reported throat burning and worsened acid reflux. Several members offered alternative strategies that worked for them, including Gas-X for predictable trigger foods, digestive enzymes from natural food stores, lactose-free products, and bland diets of rice and chicken during flare-ups. A recurring theme was the unpredictable nature of IBS symptoms and the importance of working closely with doctors to rule out stomach issues, with one member finding significant relief after a scope led to new stomach medications and dietary adjustments.

I’ve got Gerd too - it works the trick for me is to take it an hour before eating.

I also have GERD. I've taken the IB guard and never had it cause any issues with my GERD.

My sister bought my the IBgard also and I'm afraid to try it for the same reason. I don't want anything that will make the gerd worse.

I went to a natural food store and they told me what to get. It's just called digestive enzymes.
