Members responded to someone whose doctor attributed bloating to gut bacteria caused by constipation, with several members confirming they experience similar bloating but had not heard that specific explanation. A few members offered related experiences, including one who shared having SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) but being unable to tolerate the antibiotic treatment, and another who recalled being treated for H. pylori with antibiotics and Pepto-Bismol years ago. A recurring theme was deep appreciation for the original poster's doctor, who prayed with them and offered biblical encouragement during an overwhelming time of compounding health issues, with many members expressing gratitude for a doctor who shows genuine care and spiritual support.

What a wonderful doctor to pray with you and offer scripture! Wish more doctors were like this!

Thanks. GI doctor just tells me to drink 8 glasses water and take Miralax everyday. She very religious so she prayed for me and gave me bible verses to read. Of course, I was crying in her office & she told me I needed to stop worrying & give it to the Lord. I do try but when 1 health issue leads to another and then another, it becomes too overwhelming!
