My friend who is a nutritionist suggested Activated Charcoal and eliminate carbs and sugar for awhile. Her daughter has ulcerative colitis and goes to an alternative dr.

Does Anyone Vomit With Their Attacks?
A myIBSteam Member asked a question 💭

I was diagnosed with IBS over 30 yrs ago. I will vomit quite a bit during my attack. It will seemed blocked at first. Then the vomiting comes, sometimes before I have a break through (explosion) and sometimes during going. After what I call my attack I’m so depleted and weak, I have nothing left in me. I’ll go to bed. I’ve never seen anyone mention that they also vomit? I’ve been to the Er twice in the last 6 month after an attack. Once I was very low in potassium, and the other magnesium. Feeling Of Having To Move Bowels
A myIBSteam Member asked a question 💭

Most times, after moving my bowels I have the constant feeling of still having to go. I do go a lot but it takes many bowel movements until the feeling goes away. It is miserable. I am happiest on days when I don’t go at all!
Can anyone else identify with this and is there anything that helps. Thanks.

Mine too. Constipation for almost 2 weeks, and then diarrhea for a week. I suffer from migraine as well. I am afraid I'm going to get fired. 😒

Has Anyone Else Had A DX Of EPI? My Digestion Is Off Past Couple Of Weeks And My IBS-D Is Flaring. I’m Thinking They Are Related….
A myIBSteam Member asked a question 💭

Nothing I usually do seems to be helping lately (ie fiber, pre/probiotics, peppermint caps)

A myIBSteam Member

DX is medical term for diagnosis. EPI is Endocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency….. not enough digestive enzymes are produced by my pancreas. Can’t afford the “Creon” prescription for that so I try to use… read more

Fiber Supplements For IBS D Making Things Worse!
A myIBSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hi, I am new here. I have had what I believe is IBS-D for many years. About 15 years ago I saw a GI doc, had a colonscopy, and was told to just take a fiber supplement. The fiber supplement made me much worse. Last year I was tested for Celiac and the test was negative. I have also tried a gluten free diet without success. Also had a test for my pancreas and that is normal as well
I am seeing a different GI doctor now and am scheduled for Colonscopy soon. He thinks my issue is likely IBS… read more
